SolarWinds Ships Free VMware Tool

Austin-based SolarWinds, a developer of network management software, has rolled out a new tool for monitoring VMware environments. The firm, which develops software which is used by IT administrators to monitor their networks, said its new, free SolarWinds VM Monitor allows users to monitors a single VMware ESX serer and associated virtual machines. The new tool checks on CPU and memory utilization, health statistics, and more. The new tool offers some of the capabilities of SolarWinds flagship Orion Network Performance Monitor software, which is sold to enterprises.
