Hyper9 Launches Mobile Monitoring Tool
Austin-based Hyper9, a developer of software for managing virtualized servers, said Tuesday afternoon that it has released a new, application that helps administrators monitor their virtual infrastructure from a mobile device. Hyper9 said the new tool, Virtualization Mobile Manager, will be priced depending on the number of virtual machines managed by the software; the firm said it will allow administrators to manage up to five VMs for free, and charge $199 for managing up to 1000 VMs with the tool. Hyper9 said the new,browser-based tool works with VMware Server 2, VMware Infrastructure 3, VMware vSphere 4, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Citrix XenServer 5, and runs on "almost any" mobile device.
