Voyant Unveils Free Financial Planning Tool

Voyant Inc., a publisher of financial planning software for consumers, revealed Monday that it has launched a free, do-it-yourself financial planning application that focuses on long-term concerns such as a child's birth or a spouse's early retirement. Voyant said the new utility, called Voyant @Home, includes interactive forecasts, a hypothetical simulator and online collaboration tools. The company added that the Web-based application will be provided free of charge and also comes with a data mining/analytics tool. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Voyant was spun out of Gossamer Group in 2006.
