SecureLogix Gets Patent
San Antonio-based SecureLogic Corporation, which provides security tools for enterprise telecommunications systems, said Thursday that it has received a new patent. The firm said the patent, Number 7,231,027 B2, covers core technology used in its SecureLogix ETM System. According to the US Patent and Trademark Office, the patent was actually granted last year, on June 12, 2007, and is entitled "Encapsulation, compression, and encryption of PCM data." The patent was filed in March of 2004, and names Greg Schmid, Kirk Smith, Keith S. Pickens, and Craig Heilmann as inventors. SecureLogix said the new patent is the firm's thirteenth.
