ACS Gets $41M Hospital Contract

Dallas-based business process outsourcing firm Affiliated Computer Services reported Monday that it has landed a seven-year, $41 million contract to provide information technology outsourcing services to a Dallas-based public hospital system. Under the terms of the agreement, ACS will supply the Parkland Health & Hospital System with comprehensive infrastructure services, including data center operations, network monitoring and management, asset tracking and help desk support services. ACS said it will also implement a disaster recovery platform that will reduce Parkland's business recovery time by reliably restoring backup data while also providing data security. One of the country's largest public hospital systems, Parkland is licensed for 968 beds and employs some 8,000 people.
