EDS Gains Assets of U.K.-based Nexagent

Information technology consulting firm EDS announced Wednesday that it has acquired the assets of Nexagent, a U.K.-based developer of virtual private network management software. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. However, EDS noted that the transfer of Nexagent's assets is effective immediately. The Plano, Texas-based company said the acquisition will bolster its Global Services Network, which links clients to more than 500 EDS service delivery sites across the globe. EDS explained that Nexagent's technology will help EDS automate and accelerate the design, transition and operation of its service delivery network. Nexagent is headquartered in Reading, England.
