MPower Gets Nonprofit Software Enhancements

Dallas-based MPower, a developer of open source customer relationship management (CRM) software for nonprofits, said this week that it has seen the firm's first user-developed innovations in its product. According to MPower, three new features have been added to the firm's source code base, from Precept Ministries International, Amazing Facts and Turning Point. The firm said a new event management solution for handling tours, conferences, classes and other events were added by PRecept Ministries; a new application for mobile access to donor profiles was added by Amazing Facts; and integration with a shopping cart and e-commerce software product, Enterprise Suite, was added by Turning Point. The contributions are the first outside additions to the firm's software.
