DG FastChannel, Enliven Reduce Acquisition Price
Dallas-based DG FastChannel has reduced the acquisition price of Enliven Marketing Technologies to approximately $80M, the firms said, in an amended merger agreement. Reason for the reduced price was not announced; the firms had originally announced DG FastChannel would buy Enliven in a stock-for-stock transaction in May, in what was a $98M deal. Envliven will become a wholly owned subsidiary of DG FastChannel, and Harvey D. Weatherson, a current Enliven board members, will join DG FastChannel's board. DG FastChannel says it expects to realize approximately $3M in cost savings in its first full year of operation, through "elimination of duplicative corporate overhead." Enliven develops technology used for deploying online and mobile advertising campaigns.
