Austin Ventures Names New Venture Partner

Venture capital firm Austin Ventures said today that it has hired on Mike Dodd as a venture partner at the firm. According to Austin Ventures, Dodd joins the company from Omniture, where he was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. Dodd will focus on early and expansion-stage information technology companies, the firm said, with a focus on application and infrastructure software and technology-enabled business and consumer services. Dodd has also served at MyFamily.com, Europatweb, and an investment banker at Robertson Stephens.
