Sychron Rolls Virtual Desktop Release
Austin-based Sychron, a developer of desktop virtualization software, said Monday that it has rolled out an upgrade to the firm's flagship software. According to Sychron, the new software, OnDemand Desktop 3.0, allows customers to provision virtual desktops up to 20 times faster than other available products. Virtual desktops are used to present operating system images via thin clients or other PCs from a central server; they are used by enterprises and others to simplify PC administration. The new release also adds Microsoft Hyper-V hypervisor support, Microsoft's system virtualization software.
