Quanta Services Promotes O'Neil To President, COO

Quanta Services Inc. reported today that it has promoted James F. O'Neil to president and chief operating officer. A Houston-based provider of infrastructure networking for the power, natural gas, telecommunications and cable television industries, Quanta said O'Neil will oversee its operations and strategic initiatives and will report directly to John R. Colson, chairman and chief executive officer. The company said O'Neil previously had served as its senior vice president, adding that he joined the firm in 1999. Before that, Quanta noted, he spent 19 years with the Haliburton Co.
