Lantego Launches Firm

Austin-based Lantego announced Tuesday that it has officially begun operations as a business. Lantego said it will provide information security consulting services for national and international businesses. Lantego noted that its clients will be companies that are affected by information security standards and regulations, such as HIPAA—the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act—or SOX—the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. The company added that it will also assist with common criteria and privacy regulations. Lantego said its founder and president, Douglass Landoll, previously served in a similar role with Veridyn Inc., a security consultancy that En Pointe Technologies acquired.
