ACS Wins $2.5B FDA Project
Dallas-based IT consulting and business process outsourcing firm Affiliated Computer Services Inc. revealed today that it has won a contract from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. ACS said its Federal Solutions business unit will help modernize the FDA's information technology services as part of that agency's "Information and Computer Technologies for the 21st Century" initiative. ACS noted that it will serve as a subcontractor on the project, working for team member and prime contractor Telsis Corp. of Rockville, Md. ACS added that the entire contract has a 10-year ordering period and a ceiling value of $2.5 billion.
