INX Deploys Project For Auto Parts Distributor

Houston-based INX Inc., an installer of IP-based network infrastructures, announced Tuesday that it has begun the next stage of implementing an ongoing unified communications project for Subaru of New England, the authorized Subaru parts distributor for the six-state New England area. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. INX said it started work on the project last year, when it migrated the client's existing PBX technology to a Cisco Systems-based IP telephony system. INX said it is currently deploying a wireless mesh mobility solution that will enable Subaru of New England to keep in contact with representatives while they are out and about. INX said it expects the entire project to be complete by the end of February.
