Midway Closes Austin Studio

Chicago-based video games developer Midway Games said Tuesday that it has closed its Austin, Texas-based studios, as part of a 25 percent layoff of its staff. The firm said that the firm has also suspended development of several "non-core" games. Number of employees affected by the closure was not disclosed.
