KLD Energy Technologies Scores $1M

Austin-based KLD Energy Technologies, which develops electric motor system technology, said Thursday afternoon that it has raised $1M in a financing round. The round came from an undisclosed, private investment group. KLD said that its technology increases the responsiveness, speed, and functionality of electric motors, by using a nano-crystalline composite material to replace traditional iron-cores. The firm said the funding will go towards further developing its motor systems, targeted towards electric vehicles. More information »
