UT Austin Gets $15M From ExxonMobil For Renewable Energy Efforts
The University of Texas at Austin announced this morning that ExxonMobil is investing $15M in its UT Austin Energy Institute, to help it bolster its renewable energy and other energy research efforts. According to UT Austin, the $15M will go to technologies to help meet growing energy demand while reducing environmental impacts and the risk of climate change. The research projects that will be helped by the funding include renewable energy, battery technologies and power grid modeling, among other areas.
