Compucom Hires CIO

CompuCom Systems Inc. reported Monday that it has hired John Douglas as chief information officer. The Dallas-based information technology consulting firm said Douglas will lead its day-to-day IT operations and define its IT strategy. CompuCom said Douglas hails from Getronics, an international IT outsourcing company headquartered in The Netherlands. At Getronics, CompuCom said, Douglas spent three years as global CIO of the Information and Communication Technology Organization. CompuCom acquired Getronics' North American operations in August. Douglas has also enjoyed stints with Rational Software, Baan Co., StrataCom and Wellfleet Communications.
