7 Billion People Raises $3M

Austin-based 7 Billion People Inc., a publisher of Web personalization software for e-commerce Web sites, announced Monday that it has closed a second round of venture financing worth $3 million. According to 7 Billion, hometown venture capital firm SmithCo Investments led the Series B effort, the funds from which have been earmarked for product development and for sales and marketing. 7 Billion noted that it has now raised more than $6 million in venture capital since its founding in 2006. In a related move, 7 Billion also reported that Dan Smith, managing partner with SmithCo, and Kirk Lundblade of Extension Advisors LLC have been appointed to its board of directors. More information »
