7 Billion People Adds Board Member

Austin-based e-commerce software developer 7 Billion People Inc. reported Wednesday that it has appointed former Neiman Marcus top executive Richard Marcus to its board of directors. According to 7 Billion People, Marcus spent 27 years with the luxury retailer and served as its chief executive officer from 1979-88. In 1994, 7 Billion People said, Marcus co-founded an online shopping site and helped develop a regional Internet service provider, OnRamp Technologies. He has also sat on the boards of three public companies: Michael's Stores, Lands' End and Zale Corp. He currently serves on the board of My Wines Direct and as a senior advisor to investment banking firm Peter J. Solomon Co., 7 Billion People added.
