SolarWinds Goes To Flat Pricing
Austin-based SolarWinds, a provider of network management software, is announcing today that it is switching its basic network monitoring tool, ipMonitor, to a flat pricing plan. According to the firm, it will sell the software for $1995, a switch from its former pricing plan, which was based on the number of devices monitored. In explaining the switch, the firm said it saw that it has seen companies evaluate their business and budgets in a "challenging economy" and the new pricing will work for "any budget." The firm hasn't changed pricing on its enterprise Orion Network Performance Monitor tool
