C I Host Sells Shared Web Hosting Accounts to X7

Irving-based C I Host announced Thursday that it has sold its Web hosting business to X7 Hosting, a Web services provider operated by Hostopia.com Inc. and headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. According to C I Host, its shared hosting clients will benefit from the transfer to X7. C I Host added that it and X7 have a marketing agreement that specifies that it will refer small business users who are interested in sharing hosting and related services to X7. C I Host will apparently continue to provide domain name registration and colocation services.
