Rackspace's Moorman Rises to Cloud President
San Antonio-based Rackspace reported Wednesday that it has promoted Lew Moorman to president of its cloud computing business. The colocation and hosting hosting firm said Moorman came aboard in 2000 and, most recently, was chief strategy officer, a role in which he oversaw the development, marketing and management of new products and services. In his new role, Rackspace explained, Moorman will help refine the company's cloud hosting model while growing its cloud customer base. Before Rackspace, the company added, Moorman worked for McKinsey & Co., a management consulting firm.
