RackSpace Debuts New Private Cloud Management Software

San Antonio-based Rackspace Hosting is extending out its selection of cloud software, saying today that it has updated its open source Rackspace Private Cloud Software to include new user interface tools. The firm said its new OpenCenter software provides a centralized, graphical user interace and APi to help deploy, manage, and maintain private clouds. The software is part of Rackspace's push to support the OpenStack cloud software efforts; the new software taps features from Rackspace's public cloud, and applies them to private cloud deployment.
