Vignette Acquired By OpenText

Austin-based Vignette, a developer of web content management software, has been acquired by Open Text in a deal worth approximately $310M. According to Open Text, it will pay $8.00 in cash plus 0.1447 of Open Text common shares for every Vignette common share, or approximlatey $12.70 per share for Vignette. Vignette has approximately 700 employees. According to Open Text, Vignette will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Open Text.
