Alert Logic Names Director

Cloud-based IT compliance and security solutions provider Alert Logic reported Tuesday that it has appointed Gray Hall to its board of directors. The Houston-based firm said Hall is the founder and former chief executive officer of VeriCenter, the managed hosting and outsourced information technology services provider recently acquired by Sungard. Alert Logic also said Hall previously worked for IBM, where he helped form that company's Center for Scalable Computing Solutions. He was also program manager for the U.S. Department of Energy' Distributed Computer Center. Alert Logic is venture backed by Updata Partners, Hunt Ventures, OCA Ventures, DFJ Mercury and Access Venture Partners.
