Benchmark Electronics Names Fu Board Chairman

Benchmark Electronics reported Thursday that it appointed Cary T. Fu chairman of the board, effective Wednesday. The Angleton-based firm said Fu, who is also the company's chief executive officer and a co-founder, succeeds Donald E. Nigbor, who retired. Benchmark noted that Fu has sat on the board since 1990 and has served as CEO since September 2004. Benchmark Electronics provides electronics manufacturing, design and engineering services to original equipment manufacturers within the computer industry.
