Dell Calls Attention To Energy Efficient Products
Round Rock-based Dell is calling attention to the firm's energy efficient systems today, saying that it has outlined a list of its desktops, workstations, and portables which meet the U.S. EPA's Energy Star 5.0 requirements. The firm also said it has created a new calculator to help customers assess consumption and potential energy savings in their infrastructure. The Dell models covered in the certification include Dell Latitude, Precision, and OptiPlex systems; the firm said that most of the devices consume less than 5 watts in low-power mode, which exceed the level required by the EPA for energy efficient systems.
