EDS In $170M Outsourcing Win In Tennessee

EDS has scored a $170M contract in Tennessee, to manage the state's Medicaid information systems, the firm said this morning. EDS, which is now owned by HP, said the contract runs through June 30, 2013, and extends an existing, 14-year relationship b etween EDS and the state of Tennessee's TennCare state agency. EDS said it now provides IT services to 22 Medicaid programs, handling around 1 billion Medicaid claims and $100M in benefits each year.
