DeepNines Nabs BorderWare VP

Dallas-based DeepNines Technologies isn't wasting any time snagging talent from BorderWare Technologies, the web security firm with operations in Irvine, which was acquired by WatchGuard yesterday. The firm said it has hired Shawn Eldrige, formerly VP of Product and Marketing at BorderWare, as its Vice President of Marketing and Products today, to head up its worldwide marketing, product management and go-to-market strategies. DeepNines said Eldrige developed and initiated the rebranding and positioning of BorderWare, and has also served at IronPort/Cisco, PostX, ZixCorp, Flashnet Inernet Service, and Allegiance Telecom. DeepNines develops web security gateways, unified threat management, and other related products.
