Travelocity Buys Indian Hotel Site
Southlake-based Travelocity, the online travel site owned by Sabre, said this morning that it has acquired Travelguru, an online hotel booking and travel site based in India. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Travelocity said that the buy will build out its business, teams, and relationship in India, where it currently also owns Travelocity India and maintains a technology center in Bangalore. Travelocity said that Mumbai-based Travelguru has a portfolio of more than 4,000 hotels in India which it distributes. The firm is planning to run both Travelocity India and Travelguru in the country.
