Surgient Upgrades IT Software

Austin-based Surgient said this morning that it has released a new version of the firm's Surgient Virtual Automation Platform. The software is used for automating IT operations, particularly with virtual server and cloud computing deployments. The firm said the new product now supports VMware vSphere 4, software used for automating failover in VMware virtual server environments, in addition to adding the ability to add servers to live, deployed services; tighter integration with LDAP and Active Directory, and more.
