ActaCell Gets $250K
Austin-based ActaCell, a developer of lithium ion batteries, said today that it has scored $250,000 in an investment from the Texas Emerging Technology Fund. According to ActaCell, the award gives it an opportunity to get up to $1M from the TETF. The firm said the funding will go towards commercialization of its technology. ActaCell's lithium ion batteries are aimed at solving capacity fade problems commonly encountered with Li-ion batteries. The firm has previously raised funding from Google.org and DFJ Mercury, among others. More information »
