Spiceworks Expands Features

Austin-based Spiceworks, a developer of IT management software, said Thursday that the firm has released a new version of its product with support of a larger number of devices. The firm said its product now allows users to manage networks of up to 1,000 computers, and that it has also added such features as real-time SQL server monitoring, editable network maps, and SSL support. The firm said the expanded support for large networks came from the request of its customers. The firm claims it now has over 830,000 business users using its products to manage their networks.
