National Instruments Names Hester R&D Head
Austin-based National Instruments, the developer of LabVIEW software package used by engineers and scientist for measurement and automation, said Thursday that it has named Phil Hester as Senior Vice President of R&D. Hester was most recently Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). According to National Instruments, Hester will provide strategic guidance to the firm and its 1,500-person hardware and software development team. Hester has also served at IBM.
