The Planet Targets $7M In Network Investments
Houston-based IT hosting provider The Planet said today that it plans to spend more than $7M to enhance its network in Houston and Dallas. According to The Planet, the investment in network capacity upgrades, infrastructure, new routers, and switches, will be in its core Houston and Dallas data centers. Among the upgrades, the firm said it will double the number of 10 Gigabit Ethernet links to Internet Service Providers, as well as other upgrades to improve its colocation and managed hosting services. The Planet operates two data centers in Houston, and five in Dallas.
