Travelocity Kicks Off Facebook Promo

Southlake, Texas-based Travelocity, which operates an online travel booking site, said this week that it has kicked off a promo on Facebook to people who follow the firm's Travelocity Roaming Gnome page. The firm said the promotion will award special offers and promotions to follows of the Facebook page, including a discount on vacation packages. The firm's first promotion is for $75 off a vacation package for three nights or more in California. Travelocity said it will give followers access to travel deals, and build loyalty with fans. Aside from the deals, Travelocity's Roaming Gnome page includes a feature to allow users to insert their own photos into Roaming Gnome costumes.
