Austin Ventures Buys Creative Agency Exopolis

Austin-based Austin Ventures has acquired a creative agency based in Los Angeles, Exopolis, the firms announced this week. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. As part of the acquisition, Exopolis said that Matt Hovis, co-founder of Austin's Action Figure, has joined as Chief Creative Officer of the firm. Austin Ventures' Chris Pacitti said that the acquisition will help Exopolis accelerate its expansion into the fast growing digital agency arena. Exopolis counts Rhapsody, Apple, Coca-Cola, Nokia, Disney, Bossa Nova Beverages, Microsoft, Nickelodeon, and other brands as customers.
