Valence Wins Bus Firm

Austin-based Valence Technology, a developer of lithium iron magnesium phosphate batteries, said today that it has signed zero-emissions bus firm Optare PLC as a customer. The firm said the deal is worth $3.8M in battery systems sales for the firm. Optare PLC develops single- and double-deck buses and mini coaches. Valence said the three year exclusive supply agreement will go to supply Optare's fully electric Optare Solo EV fleet bus. Optare is based in Leeds, UK.
