GENBAND Completes Nortel VoIP Business Buy

Plano-based GENBAND said Friday that it has completed its acquisition of Nortel's Carrier VoIP and Application Solutions Business (CVAS). Financial terms of the deal have not been announced. GENBAND had said in February that it would buy the assets out of bankruptcy, with funding support from One Equity Partners. Nortel's CVAS business included softswitches, media gateways and application platforms for the voice-over-IP market.
