GENBAND Leases New Ottawa Office

Frisco-based GENBAND has signed a new lease for its Canadian R&D facility, the firm said Thursday, which will host the firm's core IP switching and multimedia development teams. GENBAND said the new facility has more than 70,000 square feet of lab, office, customer support and briefing spaces, and will also include sales, marketing, and other corporate functions. GENBAND has been in Ottawa since 2010, when it acquired Nortel's Carrier VoIP and Application Solutions assets. GENBAND is a developer of IP-based telecommunications equipment. Its headquarters are in Frisco, Texas.
