Caringo Ties With Symantec

Austin-based Caringo, which develops content addressable storage software, reported this morning that i thas integrated its CAstor product with Symantec's Enterprise Vault product. Symantec Enterprise Vault is a content archiving and electronic discovery product. Caringo said that, along with the integration, it will offer Enterprise Vault users 4 terabytes of its CAstor software for free use. The firm said it provides Enterprise Vault users with a way to use off-the-shelf, commodity server hardware for less costly storage, reducing their costs. The firm said the integration is specifically with Symantec Enterprise Vault 9.0.
