Syntex Management Solutions Acquired

Houston-based Syntex Management Solutions, a provider of risk management software and services for the health and safety market, has been acquired. According to IHS, a provider of information in the industry, it acquired Syntex, along with another environmental health and safety information firm, Atrion International, in purchases worthed a combined $80M. Exact amount spent on Syntex was not disclosed. IHS is a Colorado-based provider of a wide range of corporate data.
