GameStop Gears Up For Call Of Duty Black Ops
Grapevine-based video game retailer GameStop is gearing up for the next big industry game release, Call of Duty: Black Ops, saying today that it is hosting midnight launch events at more of its 4,400 U.S. locations for the title. The firm said the events will occur on Monday, November 8th, leading up to the midnight release of Activision's new title. The firm said the number of locations involved in this launch is the largest number of stores opened for a midnight launch in the firm's history. GameStop has made it a normal part of blockbuster videogame releases to run events, competitions, and promotions around releases of videogames. In the launch of Call of Duty Black Ops, GameStop said competitions include "going camo" face painting and Call of Duty trivia contests.
