BMC Software Buys GridApp

Houston-based BMC Software said this morning that it has acquired GridApp Systems, a developer of automated database provisioning, patching, and administration software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. BMC said the acquisition will expand its application, server, network and client configuration management tools.
