Rackspace Buys Cloudkick

San Antonio-based web hosting firm Rackspace said this morning that it has acquired Cloudkick, a San Francisco startup funded by Y-Combinator, which develops cloud server management tools. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Rackspace said the acquisition would help provide powerful server management tools for its customers. The firm also said the buy will help expand its presence in the San Francisco Bay area.
