Dell Scores Another Coast Guard Contract

Dell's services subsidairy, Perot Systems Government Services, reported today that it has scored a second contract award from the U.S. Coast Guard, calling for its to provide a range of infrastructure services. The deal is worth an estimated $18M. According to Perot Systems, which is part of the Dell Services unit, it is a first tier subcontractor for the Coast Guard, providing everything from evaluation of emerging technologies to traditional desktop, server and network towers. The firm will be providing staffing for 25 percent of the Coast Guard's Operations System Center in West Virginia.
