Alpheus Buys Fiber In Dallas County, Fort Worth
Houston-based Alpheus Communications, which operates fiber networks in Texas, said this morning that it has acquired new fiber rings in east Dallas County and downtown Fort Worth. The firm acquired the assets from FiberLight. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Alpheus said the buy is its fifth major fiber acquisition in the last five years. The new fiber is aimed at serving high growth corridors in Texas, particularly 3G and 4G wireless data services providers.
