Alpheus Buys New Fiber

Houston-based Alpheus Communications, a provider of fiber backbone in Texas, sai today that it has completed a "major" fiber acquisition in North and West Harris County. The firm said the new fiber optic network gives it "significant" new capacity in the Houston area. Exact size and extent of the fiber capacity was not given by the company. Alpheus serves both enterprise and carrier customers.
