Austin Parents Roll Out iPhone App For Soothing Babies
In proof that you can create an iPhone application for practically anything, an Austin couple has created an iPhone app they say helps calm fussy babies. Baby Shusher, a new app created by Chad and Katie Zunker, claims to help calm babies by producing a rhythmic shushing sound that the two says replicates the noise babies hear while in the womb. The app--which lists for $4.99 in the iTunes App Store--automatically adjusts depending on how loud a baby cries. Baby Susher said that the Zunkers conceived of the idea for the app out of their own sleep deprivation while raising two young daughters.
